Back in the day!

Look at these two! They were babies and they are growing up way too fast. I can't believe they will be in high school next year. Sure is making me feel old!! Cody and Kelsey have been such a blessing to our family...sure do love them.

Kelsey's Job

This summer Kelsey had a babysitting job that worked out perfect! Dylan is friends with Carter and Kennedi so they would play and then she also watched Trace Dylan's little brother. Kelsey was always doing fun things with the boys. Swimming, Legos, Nerf gun wars, forts, play doh and she made some good cash!

Girl's Camp

They put me in Beehives with Kelsey's group at church & I was very excited to get to go to girl's camp with her this year. It was beautiful weather & they had lots of fun activities for us to do. Highlights fun games, our skit, trail of truth, Sister DeSpain & her funny bedtime stories, yummy food hey I didn't have to cook:) double dutch, zipline & archery.

Kelsey turns 13!!!

We officially have a teenager! I can't believe how fast these kiddos are growing up. I can't think about it too much because it makes me so sad. Well I dropped the ball and forgot to have Kelsey answer the birthday questions I usually do on their birthdays. I will try & remember to do that tomorrow haha we will see if it happens:)

Kelsey was not happy that her birthday landed on a Monday. Her dad & I said sorry there is not much you can do about that one. So, she went to school:)

After school is when the fun started well of course she had birthday wishes at school. She really wants a bike so she get to go pick one out soon. Kelsey got lots of cards, cash and candy! On our way to take her to dinner we noticed that by the Gilbert Temple that is being built just down from our house. They had the Angel Moroni out & getting it ready to put on tomorrow. It was very exciting and we were the first to see it. After a very big and yummy dinner, there were tons of cars everywhere trying to get a peak of Moroni as we drove by

Grammie and PaPa came over for cake and ice cream. Frammie, Paige and Tatum had visited earlier. Dad made homemade chocolate ice cream from our fresh goat milk so YUM! Cody got Kelsey a magazine with all of the Hunger Games info in it-good pick there buddy. And, for another surprise I had my sweet friend Cara take pictures of the animals in our backyard. Then I put together this collage of some of Kelsey's favorite furry creatures. I think she was pretty surprised & loved it!

We sure our blessed to have Kelsey be part of our family! Love ya sweets & happy 13th!

Happy birthday Landon!!!

Saturday was a very busy day for me. I cut hair in the morning then went over to our wards Super Saturday and made a very cute Happy birthday banner I will take a picture of it on the next birthday.
Kelsey had a Stake Activity Days so I picked her up and went back to the church building to finish up my projects! I ran to grab a gift for a birthday party Kelsey was going to & drop it off at the house.
Then went back to do more hair and Mike dropped Kelsey off & then I meet Mike & the kiddos at Peter Piper for Landon's party!
Landon was so cute & had a blast!!! It was such a fun time!

Kelsey's new haircut

Kelsey was so worried that her hair would be short & I'm sure after I took 4 inches off that it feels short. I think she looks older and of course beautiful!!! And, she was happy it's still long and loves her layers & bangs. While I was cutting her hair we were talking & she told me she wants to try different things with her hair. Keeping it long can get boring. I love how she always has a great attitude and always finding good in things.

What to do?

I really don't know what to do?
Sundays are always a very long hard day!
Carter and Kennedi like to get their own breakfast, snack or treat.
I'm really surprised I have not found them hanging from the chandelier!!!
And, I always thought Cody was tough!
Church has been hard. Today I just wanted to push everyone off me & scream.
I love that all my kiddos still love to snuggle but today I was hot and seriously at one point in sacrament meeting all four were laying on me or trying. I had Cody's head in my lap with Kennedi pretty much sitting on his head. Kelsey leaning on my arm & Carter playing horsey with my leg.
No one wanted Dad!!!
Mike is very helpful but some days like today they all wanted me.
My skirt got lifted up 3 times so all could see my pretty underwear.
Kennedi ripped the bow off my cute shoes & Carter yanked a charm right off of my necklace!
Don't even get me started on Sharing Time!
I do have one thing that was good. They love going to class so I got to enjoy the last hour.
I'm sure you are all sick of me whining. I just had to vent!
It's almost bedtime-YEE HAW!

Busy!!!

I have finally got some extra time to blog. I really should be mopping my floors or cleaning bathrooms oh well! Life has been so busy and really too busy to even pull out the camera. I can't wait for school to be over but I'm a bit worried how I'm going to keep Carter and Kennedi busy. Since they have been going to preschool they are used to being entertained a lot!

Kelsey and I a couple weeks ago went to a mother and daughter activity and had so much fun! We polish each others nails, learned some new hair do's and surprisingly let me do them on her the next day for school and we learned about etiquette at the table. Ever since she has let everyone know what they are doing wrong at the table.
I have been busy with doing hair and really trying to get a regular schedule down.

Last night I took Cody & Kelsey to pick out a gift for their teacher & for a gift exchange they were doing. It was funny because they could spend $10 and I had told them that they would be using some of their money. Kelsey are little spender found plenty of stuff and was under budget. She said I want to spend all the money when I reminded her that she would be using some of her own money everything changed. What is it with kids and money!?

I had a good Mothers day with breakfast in bed and a treasure hunt from my kiddos. And, later spent a fun night at my parents. We all came over for a yummy dinner and played Apples to Apples. I sure love my mom and feel so blessed to have her in my life!

Kelsey's grandma is doing great and seems to really be enjoying herself. It's funny since she has been here we as a family have been speaking a lot more Spanish. Whenever we enter the room even my kiddos we say hola or garcias instead of thanks. I also have labeled things around the house to make it easier for us all. She loves her Spanish soap operas. Another great thing she is always doing my dishes, every time I turn around the dishes are clean and she folds all my laundry. She has been great and I'm so happy that Kelsey and her have been able to spend so much time together.

Carter and Kennedi have preschool graduation and my baby brother will have his high school graduation on Thursday. We are going on a little road trip this weekend it should be fun! And, then maybe just maybe things will slow down just a bit!!!

Sorry for the lack of posts and for no comments. Kelsey's grandma is staying with us for the whole summer & her room is where the computer is. I don't get much time in here!

Disneyland for the day!!!

Back in October my mom and I had so much fun at Disneyland that we ended up buying season passes. We kept meaning to go back but just never found the time. Since my mom works for the airlines we can fly over and make a day trip. So on Wednesday my mom & I took Kelsey to Disneyland for the day!
I loved that we did things she loves most. Kelsey is our animal lover! The night before I had Bunko and Cara was a sub. She told me about the cute little ranch that I had never seen before. It was the cleanest petting zoo ever!!! Kelsey loved reading about all the animals & of course petting them all. We also got a great idea for our goats at home. All the goats had bells and name tags around their necks-so cute!!!

I could seriously use a tan! What do you think?! I had so much fun because Kelsey loves all the fast rides and doesn't get a bit scared! Space Mountain was our favorite. It was a perfect day at Disneyland! Not crowded and beautiful weather. Eights hours was enough for us we were pooped out! Thanks mom for a fun day. Love ya!

Proect 52

Week 12
My blessing is Kelsey! I feel so blessed to have this girlie be part of our family. I was so excited when Mike and I started dating because I had a girl to shop for. She is so sweet & very helpful! She is a pro at cleaning bathrooms & doing dishes. Kelsey is a very determined little girl. I love that once she puts her mind to do something, anything she will work extra hard to achieve it. I still remember when she was 5 years old she wanted to learn to whistle. She worked & worked until she got it-something I still can't do. Kelsey is very mature and loves to hang out with the adults but also loves to have a good time with her friends & cousins.
I love that she is so passionate about horses & has really gotten all her friends to love them too! They even started a club & their goal is to save enough money to buy a horse together & share it. Kelsey is a good friend to everyone, she is fun,easy going, beautiful, loves reading & music and is very creative. I'm so blessed to have this sweet daughter be part of my life!

Project 52

Week 9
My blessing that I can't stop thinking about has to be the scriptures. I have really challenged myself this year to really understand them. I have been good about reading them but this year I have really started to study them. I already feel blessed because of it.
We as a family has started faithfully reading together every morning. Sure we have read before but it was always at the last minute read a few verses before family prayer or at breakfast while everyone eating. But, we finally have all got on board and are really doing good! It really amazes me how Cody & Kelsey can pronounce those very hard words and they are really improving on reading as well. I count this for their 15 min. reading time for school. I feel like our family has gotten stronger because of our great efforts. And, my day seems to go a little smoother. We started in January and I pray that we will keep this going in our house.

Memory Lane Monday!

Since the twins will be 3 this week, I have been going through a ton of pictures! Thank goodness for pictures it's sad because I can hardly remember anything after I had these two!! I could tell you exactly how I felt, what the weather was like & even what was on tv the day we brought Cody home from the hospital. But, ask me anything about the twins I will not be able to tell you much-it really makes me sad!!!
So back to Memory Lane Monday! Carter and Kennedi were around a month old in this cute picture. I had gone to get a shower and when I got out I couldn't find any of the kids! This is what I found! Cody & Kelsey had moved the babies bouncer seats with Carter & Kennedi in them into their room. They were playing house & had a kitchen table set up and just playing like they were mom & dad to Carter & Kennedi.
I think back at all the stuff we had Cody & Kelsey do. Mike & I would have to remind each other that they were kids too! What a blessing to have such wonderful little helpers & they were so willing.

Ahhhh.... She listens to me!

On Wednesday Kelsey had Activity Days which she loves & never thinks it's fair that Cody gets to go to scouts every week & she only goes every other. I told her get use to it the boys always get to do more! So, they learned all about being a good babysitter. I have been working with Cody & Kelsey by teaching them how to change diapers & just other things about being responsible while watching little ones! Well Emily & Tiffany are her leaders &she loves them so much!! They were talking about making sure the house is cleaned up. Kelsey then says my mom says cleaning up while kids are around is like shoveling snow while it's still snowing! I love this girl she is always cracking me up & I have been noticing she makes little comments just like me.

Also last night Cody & Kelsey had their 3rd grade holiday performance and they did great! Cody really got into it and knew all the words & moves!! Kelsey did good too she just didn't seem as excited as Cody & maybe even a little embarrassed. I was a lot like that growing up too! On the way home Cody was telling me how the other day at school some 4th graders were teasing him. Kelsey heard them and went up to them & told them 'no one picks on my brother but me'! Cody said he was really surprised and it made him feel so good. I was so proud of her! I'm always reminding my kiddos to stick together and always be friends. I have so many good & funny memories of Paige sticking up for me!!!

Random Stuff

This is the book I have been reading I really have been enjoying it and can't wait to read Sarah's Quilt that is next on my list! I'm off today in search of dresses for my girl's for Christmas pictures. Hope everyone has a fun Friday! Tonight Mountain View plays Gilbert with couch Parker, I can't wait to see how they do. Go Toros!!!

ROCK STARS!!!

Kelsey came into my room Thursday morning to tell me that it was Rock Star day! I was so tired from getting home late from California and going to Parent Teacher conference at 7 in the morning that I wanted to say sorry no time! But, I just couldn't she was too excited. Her cute friend Mallory and her had already planned on who they would be. Kelsey was so cute googling Miley Cyrus to find just the right outfit! Mallory was Hannah and Kelsey went as Miley. They had a fun day!
