A wonderful weekend!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. Cody went to the Father's & Sons camp out with his Grandpa because Mike had a class all day Saturday. Friday night Kelsey, Kennedi, my mom & I went to see The Toothfairy it was very cute & one I would not mind owning. Afterwards we went and ate at one of Kelsey's favorites Fudruckers. It's always fun to have some time just with my girls!!!
At home Mike made sure Carter had a fun night as well. They got a pizza & watched Ironman in the family room. He was one happy kiddo! Mike is such a great dad & I'm so grateful for him.

On Sunday, I was waited on all day long & it was wonderful! They let me sleep in, brought me breakfast in bed, church, had a nice visit with Pam & Joe, a nap & a yummy dinner with my mom. I love the picture above, I took on Sunday when Steven & my mom came over for dinner. Oh I almost forgot I have been wanting a new light fixture in our laundry room so that is what I got for my gift & yesterday Mike installed it now that's the real gift!

Busy!!!

I have finally got some extra time to blog. I really should be mopping my floors or cleaning bathrooms oh well! Life has been so busy and really too busy to even pull out the camera. I can't wait for school to be over but I'm a bit worried how I'm going to keep Carter and Kennedi busy. Since they have been going to preschool they are used to being entertained a lot!

Kelsey and I a couple weeks ago went to a mother and daughter activity and had so much fun! We polish each others nails, learned some new hair do's and surprisingly let me do them on her the next day for school and we learned about etiquette at the table. Ever since she has let everyone know what they are doing wrong at the table.
I have been busy with doing hair and really trying to get a regular schedule down.

Last night I took Cody & Kelsey to pick out a gift for their teacher & for a gift exchange they were doing. It was funny because they could spend $10 and I had told them that they would be using some of their money. Kelsey are little spender found plenty of stuff and was under budget. She said I want to spend all the money when I reminded her that she would be using some of her own money everything changed. What is it with kids and money!?

I had a good Mothers day with breakfast in bed and a treasure hunt from my kiddos. And, later spent a fun night at my parents. We all came over for a yummy dinner and played Apples to Apples. I sure love my mom and feel so blessed to have her in my life!

Kelsey's grandma is doing great and seems to really be enjoying herself. It's funny since she has been here we as a family have been speaking a lot more Spanish. Whenever we enter the room even my kiddos we say hola or garcias instead of thanks. I also have labeled things around the house to make it easier for us all. She loves her Spanish soap operas. Another great thing she is always doing my dishes, every time I turn around the dishes are clean and she folds all my laundry. She has been great and I'm so happy that Kelsey and her have been able to spend so much time together.

Carter and Kennedi have preschool graduation and my baby brother will have his high school graduation on Thursday. We are going on a little road trip this weekend it should be fun! And, then maybe just maybe things will slow down just a bit!!!

First Slumber Party and A New Member of the Family!

This was the invitation I made for Kelsey's first slumber party . We had it this weekend while Cody and Mike were at the Father and Sons.
This was the group of cute girls! Sydney, Mallory, Sydnee, Tatum, Madison, Kelsey, Cassidy and Rita

We had a fun night! They played Twister and Truth or Dare while we waited for the pizza, then we polished nails. I took pictures of each girl with Kelsey and then had them printed. We put the pictures in the frames the girls decorated.

We sang Happy Birthday and had her blow out her candle. Kelsey opened gifts and she loved the Heely's I got her.
We popped popcorn and watched High School Musical. They were so cute as soon as it was on they all broke out in a song! This group of girls were so sweet and not to hyper. Cassidy, Tatum and Sydnee ended up spending the night. Kelsey was the party pooper of the night, and went to bed at 11p.m. The rest of the group didn't fall a sleep until 1:30a.m.
The next morning while they waited for their parents to come they had otter pops! I did make them have breakfast before the treat.
I want to thank Paige and Cara for helping me out with the party!
I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Mike made breakfast and kids made me sweet cards. The speakers at church were so awesome, I was holding back tears and whole time. We all got to talk to Jack he sounds so different. Then we stopped by to wish Pam a "Happy Mother's Day!"
Today is Kelsey's 8th birthday! The kids woke up had breakfast and got ready for school. They headed out to feed the animals like every morning. Cody came running back in so excited Isabell had her baby! Kelsey was gitty! This couldn't have happened on a better day. She would sleep out with the animals if we would let her. We all headed out there for pictures, then I printed some for them to take to school. The whole time I was doing this Kelsey kept saying this is the BEST day ever! Then she would say no this is the best month ever!
Look how cute, the kids named her Snowflake.
