Back in the day!

Look at these two! They were babies and they are growing up way too fast. I can't believe they will be in high school next year. Sure is making me feel old!! Cody and Kelsey have been such a blessing to our family...sure do love them.

I can't sleep!

Emily, Paige and I were just talking about this last night! Paige was saying how last night she didn't go to bed until 4:45 in the morning because she couldn't sleep. I of course said that has not happened to me in a long time HA and here I am!
Does anyone remember having underoos?! I remember having a discussion with my brother-in-law who is my same age about underoos. This is so random I know but bare with me I can't sleep! He thought I was making it up that they had 'Wonder Woman underoos. Paige and I both had them and loved them! I believe he had A-team.

Paige, Reilly & Celena

Are you kidding?

3. What kind of car did you drive? mom's sweet mini van, even sweeter OLD brown Honda & our cute red car-I'm so bad about cars I can't remember what kind it was.

4. On a Friday nights what were you doing?
Football games, hanging out with friends , dates, parties, movies

5. Were you a party animal?
Nope

6. Were you considered a flirt?
Yes- at the time I didn't think so but thinking back. Some of the stuff I said & did, makes me say yes!

7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?
No they would have kicked me out!! hee, hee!

8. Were you a nerd?
No

9. Did you get suspended/expelled?
Nope

10. Can you still sing the fight song?
I don't think i ever knew it.

11. Who was your favorite teacher?
Maybe Mr. Peterson from biology. Not because he was nice but, because he was pretty funny to watch. He would take a yard stick & slap it on the table! I remember everyone just laughing, this was a class I was happy I passed (just barely!)
12. Where did you sit during lunch?
Almost always went somewhere. We would bum rides from different people.
Senior year I ate lunch at beauty school or at home.

Yes- only my junior year.

Yeah, I liked high school.

I thought I had a better memory then this. I do remember taking lots of pictures(some things never change). I think I went to the senior party @ Golf land.

um school? Can't remember this is so sad!
21. Favorite memory?
I have lots of fun memories but one of my favorites was when we went on a ski trip. It was me, Reilly, Paige, Mark Oberly, Joel Anderson & Jared Willis.

Taco Bell, some pizza place, Fry's or when we were on a health kick & went to Reilly's house. Paige, Reilly & I would all share one meal! We were so cheap!!!

25. Who was your Senior prom date?
I only went my Junior year with Justin Arrington. I was sick for the day activity & went to the dance took pictures, danced once & then we left & hung out at my house. What a fun date I was!

26. Are you planning on going to your 10-year reunion?
I totally did and loved it!

i don't think we had homeroom

I don't know about sweetheart but I dated Steve Anderson & Justin Arrington. And, I guess the last month of high school I dated Clayton Riggs.

No and I have no idea who was queen & king.

32. Where did you work in high school?
Big Surf with lots of friends- Celena, Paige, Reilly, Stacy, Joel, Mark, Ryan & Justin-fun memories!, DEFrey as a telemarketer, the Bang's garage doing mailers, & another telemarketing job for 2 weeks before beauty school.
33. what were your grades?
I was happy I passed! I pray my kiddos do a lot better then me.


34. What was your dress style?
I wish I had time to scan some old pictures. I would probably say preppy.

Carmel Corn

When Paige and I were 12 well I guess until we got a life which was not until we were almost 16. This was probably because Paige & I had each other. We would babysit for our parents almost every weekend if we weren't babysitting for other families. We would watch Family Matters & Full House I'm sure there were more but, I can't remember them.
My favorite thing to do was make this yummy recipe of Carmel corn. Last night after dinner & made it and it sure brought back some memories! I should have waited and posted this for Memory Lane Monday.
The funny thing is I have not made this since I was young. This will really explain how much I write things down & it started very young. I found some of my old journals one that my mom kept when Paige & I were 5 years old. And, the other one I just looked threw is one when I was 13-14 years old. In that journal I had wrote the Carmel corn recipe down.

It is so easy!!!
Try it one of these nights. I used microwave popcorn but, it would even be better with air popped!

1/2 cup Karo syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick of butter *I only had buttered microwave popcorn so I only used 1/2 a stick.

Put in a microwave safe bowl put in microwave until melted. (About 1 1/2 to 2 min.)
Add to popcorn & stir until all popcorn is coated.

Enjoy!!!

Memories!

Cousins
After reading Lindsey's post about the toys she loved
when she was younger made me start thinking
about the same thing and just all the fun things
we would do with cousins.
I'm sad I have no pictures of my Allen cousins
on my computer and we did so much with them.

Growing up we would go over to the Allen's or they would come
to our house, we loved to play neighbors (this was really house and dress up)
but that was what we called it. We loved to trade toys before leaving each
others houses and we never liked to leave and got pretty
good at hiding. One time Brooks made it all the way to our house, my dad was not happy!
We would walk to Smitty's and always get yelled at for running
across the golf course. Stacy, Paige and I would walk around and act like we were shopping.

Our other cousins we spent a lot of time with was the Evan's my moms
sisters kids. Oh, I have so many funny stories of the crazy stuff we did
together. Paige, Stacey and I going door to door trying to sell stuff (anything)
or the time we thought we would walk to Taste Freeze! It took us forever
and we only had a dollar so we all three shared an ice cream sandwich. We
got in so much trouble, after that we could never come up to visit Grandma
all together. She paired us up with different cousins, I went with Michael and I
remember having fun and not minding being with Michael. But, my only complaint
was he loved to snuggle! I even asked Grandma if she could get him a teddy bear!
Another time we searched the house for spare change and talked Aunt Cheryl
into taking us to "Castle Rock" I can't remember but I think that was the name.
I could go on and on!!!
Cousins are great I'm so happy I was so close to mine and have such great
memories! I hope my kiddos will have a lot of wonderful ones too!!

Home Sweet Home

10. Backyard: I love that my kiddos can go and run and play! I had so many pictures of them outside it was hard to pick just one.We love to have Sunday picnics back there, bon fires, Easter egg hunts, baseball, water fights, forts etc...
9.My Journals: I love my journals and that I have record of all the fun and cute things my kiddos say. But, it scares me to have someone reading them when I'm gone. Paige knows where mine are and has my permission to have when I'm gone.
8.Our Kitchen: Now this does not mean I love to cook but, I love the time we spend in here as a family. We love to have BIG breakfasts on Sundays, we eat as a family almost every night, my hubby loves to cook and bake and my kiddos love to help me with dinner.








7.Family Photos: Even if they are not great ones, I do love them!
6. Decorating Books and Magazines: I love to decorate and I'm always thinking about what I could do different with some part of the house. I remember in our last house Mike asking me why I still had the books, the house was decorated? I just love them and sometimes when we are watching tv together I will sit and look at them and even take notes or sketches.
5. My mini scrapbooks: I have these little guys all over my house, in baskets and on shelves. My kiddos love to look at them and they are always wanting to hear a story about the day they
were born or a story about when I was little. I also have a lot of the fun trips we have taken.



4. Our Couch: It's big, it's comfy and it needs to be cleaned! This is where Mike and I hang out watch tv or movies together.

3.My picture of Christ with children: It's not this picture but one like it and I love it! It is on an easel on top of my entertainment center.
2. My scrapbook room: This room is where I hang when my mom and sisters come over. Of course all my scrapbook and crafts are in here and the computer! The kids love to hang out in here also. One Sunday the whole family was in this little room. Cody and Kelsey playing video games, the twins were dancing , I was making hair clips and Mike was on the computer.
