Snowflake July 5-7th 2012

We have some good friends who moved to Snowflake so we went to visit them and get out of the heat! We had so much fun hanging out, playing games, dance party, BBQ, drives, hikes, swap meet, rabbit farm, bow & arrows, antique shopping & lots of yummy food. They have friends that have their own man made pond and zip line. We spent our last day playing and we had so much fun! Canoe rides, playing in the sand & of course trying not to get the zip line tangled. Thanks Harris family for a fun get away!

Kelsey's first concert

Tatum invited Kelsey and I to go see Taylor Swift with her, Paige,Sydney, Bridget, MaryKay, Tracey, Courtney & 5 other friends.

It was so much fun being with Kelsey at her first concert. Kelsey was so cute! Our way in to the concert Kelsey said I feel like I could just scream! And during the concert whenever I would turn & talk to Paige Kelsey would nudge me. She didn't want me to miss anything:)

I loved all her cool guitars & different outfits! Taylor sure loves her fans & put on a great show!

Here are a few of the things the kiddos have been up to lately. Catching ladybugs, reading and painting!

Spring Break

CArter was a crack up like always. He became the sheriff of our little town & had Tom be his Deputy. He also found this tumbleweed when we were cleaning up to leave & he was heartbroken when I told him he had to leave him behind.

We even had fireworks! Proof that Tom got stuck!

We had a fun week for Spring Break. I worked all day on Monday so the rest of the week we could do a lot of fun things:)

Tuesday with a bunch of fun friends we spent the whole day at Amazing Jakes.

Wednesday we headed out of town with some of our neighbors & some of their family and friends to go camping.

We roasted marsh mellows, ate a lot, played lots of fun games, played in the water, rode quads, colored lots of pretty pictures, read books & took naps in the middle of the afternoon:) And, there were lots of laughter! We had a great time!!

The Gang

These are some of Cody & Kelsey's friends that love to come over. It's funny because Kelsey will invite friends over & then all of a sudden Cody & his buds are over. They love playing tag or capture the flag

Tonto Creek

This summer we took a day trip up north to the cabin. At the time it seemed like a great idea to just go for the day but that perfect day went by too fast! Cara & her girls, Paige & her kiddos we with us for this fun day! We headed straight for Tonto creek. We visited the fish hatchery, played in the water, enjoyed the much cooler weather & had a picnic lunch. Then we headed to the cabin as soon as we pulled up it started to rain. We hung out playing games, eating & reading magazines. Once the rain stopped the kids headed out to enjoy the outdoors. No one wanted to go home. Paige & I say every year "why don't we come up here more often?" Next summer we will be staying over night for sure!

Easter

I guess it's never is to late to post. Easter was a little different this year because we had General Conference (our church stays home & listens to our prophet on t.v.). I had forgotten to get a bunch of stuff for Easter I had grabbed a few little things & had some stuff I got at Christmas time & it didn't really matter because all my kiddos cared about was the Flarp-noise putty I got for 25 cents in the discount section at Walmart. Carter could not get enough of that silly stuff!

We also went to a fun Easter party at our neighbors house on Saturday, I forgot to post pictures of that. Sunday evening all of my family & some friends came to dinner at our house. We had lots of fun! The kids hunted for Easter eggs, egg toss & of course the bon fire.

I'm not sure what the kids were looking at here.

Back in February we went on a snow trip with our neighbors The Moore family & The Crowe family. We sure had fun and everyone got along great! We were nice and close to the hills where we went sledding. Our kids are little dare devils not scared of much. Kennedi couldn't get enough and loved every minute of it. At one point she bit her lip and it was bleeding she was so worried that I would make her stop. She kept saying mom I'm fine & I'm not bleeding!!

Snowball fights, games, hot chocolate, hanging out in the lodge, snowmobile rides, lots of food, building snowmen, sledding, snow angels, movies & treats!

I must admit I wasn't sure I would enjoy this trip because anyone that knows me knows I HATE being cold. It ended up being good weather, with lots of snow to play in but the sun was out most of the time. Madison is so sweet and was a great helper. Thanks for a fun trip and can't wait for the next one.

Not OJ or Lemonade

but oranges and lemons!
Carter came to Mike and said I would like to start selling oranges. So, Mike called our neighbor & got her in on the act! Carter went to her door & sold her some oranges. When I got home Carter, Kennedi and Jessica wanted to have a stand & sign. Kelsey & Cassidy were so cute! They were cracking me up with all the different costumes & with their acting abilities. The kids made some money while having fun! Now I need to make some lemonade.
