Makin' Memories!

This last weekend us girls had big plans to leave the guys at home to watch the Super Bowl & we would bring the kiddos to California for some good old cousin fun! We rented two SUV's and headed to Cali! Paige and her kids Tatum, Sydney & Landon, Bridget and her kids Presley, Tess & Pierce, Me & my kiddos, Jacki, Grammie & MaryKay and her kids Mia, Nate, Eden & Will. We got to the hotel late & the kids were a bit hyper since they slept most of the way! They had fun figuring out all the sleeping arrangements.

The next day we had to get a photo of mom with all the grand kids. She is such a fun Grandma!

We took the kids to Legoland and we had a fun day! Everyone seemed to love the roller coasters the best and it took us awhile to get to them and the day went by way too fast.

Kelsey being silly at Miniland which was pretty cool. They have a whole new Star Wars section and we never found enough time for the Aquarium. Another great part was the major discounts we got, gotta love that right?

The next day I didn't take one picture with my camera I did take a few with my phone. We slept in and got packed up. We had to run to Target to get swim suits & few other things to go to the beach.

We were leaving Target to grab food & head to the beach well mom backed into a lady in a small car so while they dealt with that, Paige & I got food. The food took forever and thank goodness the lady mom backed into was so kind. After all that we headed to the beach and it was a beautiful day and fun! The kids had a blast! It was a little chilly but you know kiddos don't care. Collected seashells, play in the sand, run in the water and eat ice cream. After a full day we headed home! Here's to making memories!!!

Back in February we went on a snow trip with our neighbors The Moore family & The Crowe family. We sure had fun and everyone got along great! We were nice and close to the hills where we went sledding. Our kids are little dare devils not scared of much. Kennedi couldn't get enough and loved every minute of it. At one point she bit her lip and it was bleeding she was so worried that I would make her stop. She kept saying mom I'm fine & I'm not bleeding!!

Snowball fights, games, hot chocolate, hanging out in the lodge, snowmobile rides, lots of food, building snowmen, sledding, snow angels, movies & treats!

I must admit I wasn't sure I would enjoy this trip because anyone that knows me knows I HATE being cold. It ended up being good weather, with lots of snow to play in but the sun was out most of the time. Madison is so sweet and was a great helper. Thanks for a fun trip and can't wait for the next one.

This weekend went to Thatcher Mike and I both have family there.  We stayed at my grandparents cabin at Mt. Graham and of course had yummy Mexican food.  We went up to Riggs Lake to go fishing well about 20 minutes into and Mike had all the kids settled on the fishing poles the lighting & thunder start!  By the time we are heading down the mountain back to the cabin it’s raining so hard it starts to hale!  Oh and it’s such a small world, we ran into our neighbors who camp there every summer.  We then got ready & went to visit some of Mike’s family that we have not seen in a very long time. 

My parents came too & brought Paige’s kids with them. We went to the parade in Pima & then went to a big BBQ.  My Uncle Steve & Aunt Ruthann, all their kids & my Aunt Kim & Uncle David were all there too. Also Mike’s cousin Angie & her kids joined us for all the fun!  They had fun games set up for the kids & we ended the night with fireworks. It was a very fun night hanging out with family.

The last day was very nice because we were very lazy!  We slept in & ate all day long!  The kids really used their imaginations and played all day while the adults played a long game of Phase 10.  The kids made lots of memories which I love because I have so many great memories with my cousins!! The kids made forts that were very impressive. We had so much fun it was hard to clean up to go home.

Memory Lane Monday

The summer before I met Mike when Cody & I were living with my parents we took a trip back east. We went to go for the open house at the Nauvoo temple. Along the way we stopped at a couple other temples. The Nauvoo temple was so beautiful and it was such an amazing experience. Cody was only 2 1/2 at the time and after that trip any time he saw a temple or what he thought looked like a temple he would get so excited! That trip was so much fun my parents stayed in a hotel room in town close to temple with my grandparents. Us kids couldn't find a room close so we stayed in another town close by. We would go out to eat every night and one night went bowling. I have some cute pictures of that trip but I don't feel like looking for them. I wish I could remember more of that fun trip. I'm sure if I sat down with Bridget, Jack & Steven we could remember a lot more. I do remember that summer I was only home 5 days out of the whole month of June. I can't even imagine doing that now.

I love Fall!

I have not blogged in awhile. Paige has had my camera since Saturday and it has all my birthday pictures on it! I watched Landon for her so she could go to California with her girls. Not a lot has been going on around here mostly stuff with the kiddos! I do love fall because it's so nice outside we have been spending a lot of time outside. I want to put a little sand in our play set and get it all cleaned up so it will be perfect for the kids to play on this winter! Cody and Kelsey have been out of school this whole week for fall break. They spent Sunday night at Frammy's house and then they left the next morning for a fun trip to California. They just got home this morning, we sure missed them around here! They went to the zoo and to Sea World they had a blast but I'm happy to have them home.

It's Your Day!

Today is my beautiful mom's birthday! And, she is getting the best gift ever. My dad & her left for Honduras to pick up my brother from his mission. She was so excited to go and see his mission and of course Jack! I can't wait to hear about their adventures. We will be celebrating her birthday when they get home. I love her so much and feel so lucky to have her as my mom. She is beautiful and has so much class! My mom is so talented, decorates beautifully, makes wonderful flower arrangements, scrapbooks, she is an awesome dancer, loves her grandkiddos & loves to do fun things with them, she is a great listener, takes us on fun trips and we love you so much mom!
