Gilbert Temple

We are so lucky to have a temple being built just walking distance from our home. We have watched it being built. On Kelsey's birthday we were headed to go to dinner when the kiddos squilled with excitiment. Carter and Kennedi have been waiting for the Angel Moroni to be put on. Well that is what they saw! And, I couldn't believe how big it was. A friend of ours let us know that it would be put on tomorrow so no worries & we headed off to dinner.
The next day I took the kids out of school early & we went to our friends house to hang out & wait to see it all happen. It was so exciting! I love to see the temple!!

Memory Lane Monday

The summer before I met Mike when Cody & I were living with my parents we took a trip back east. We went to go for the open house at the Nauvoo temple. Along the way we stopped at a couple other temples. The Nauvoo temple was so beautiful and it was such an amazing experience. Cody was only 2 1/2 at the time and after that trip any time he saw a temple or what he thought looked like a temple he would get so excited! That trip was so much fun my parents stayed in a hotel room in town close to temple with my grandparents. Us kids couldn't find a room close so we stayed in another town close by. We would go out to eat every night and one night went bowling. I have some cute pictures of that trip but I don't feel like looking for them. I wish I could remember more of that fun trip. I'm sure if I sat down with Bridget, Jack & Steven we could remember a lot more. I do remember that summer I was only home 5 days out of the whole month of June. I can't even imagine doing that now.

Project 52

Week 17
For my blessing this week I choose the temple.
There had been rumors for awhile about them building a temple in our ward boundaries. And, you never know if it's true or not well we found out that it's official they are building a temple that will be so close! I will get to drive by it every day. There will be one in Gilbert & one in Gila Valley. I can't wait to go to the open house what an experience that will be for our kiddos. I love going there and having that wonderful peaceful feeling!
Here is some more information about the two new temples.
